This policy underpins the standards and practices to be followed by all staff in driving Aerosmart Car Rental vehicles. This policy applies to all Aerosmart Car Rental staff. It shall be implemented in all locations. Seat Belts All employees must wear seat belts at all times when driving a vehicle. They must ensure that passengers are also wearing seat belts. Or else, do not move the vehicle. Punctuality Chauffeurs must be at pick-up point at least 15 minutes before pick-up time. Loose Items in Vehicle No items should be placed at front dashboard not space behind the passenger head rest (especially loose items like air freshener, umbrella, tissue box & etc). Radio/CD Player/DVD Player Radio/CD player/DVD player must be switched off while driving. This is to ensure no distraction while driving. Uniform Chauffeurs must be in uniform, long slack pants, covered shoes (sport shoes/sandal/flipflops are not allowed). Speeding Chauffeurs must drive within local speed limit (based on individual route/highway). Substances Abuse Prohibition of driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or any drugs or narcotics. Disciplinary action shall be carried out including termination if one drive under the influence of alcohol or any drugs or narcotics. Cellular Phone Drivers initiate, answer a cellular phone call or message while driving a vehicle, regardless of whether a hands free device is available or not is prohibited. Cellular phones may be left on during a trip to alert the driver of the incoming call or messages, however the vehicle must be brought to a complete and safe stop before responding. Disciplinary Action Disciplinary action up to including termination can be resulted in for violations of this policy.
